uring archaeological research on the east side of Haarlems' sand barrier features from the
Neolithicum and the
Early Bronze Age were found.
Two field layers divided by eolic sand were found. In these field layers clear marks of an
ard
were found together with Bell beaker sherds and little pieces of charcoal.
In the field layers also ditches and pits were observed among were some post holes. The number of post holes was too small for the reconstruction of a house.
Most of the pottery found was typical
Bell beaker, only some were
Wikkeldraad.
Also flint was found: various scrapers and many flakes. Remarkable was a ± 2,5 cm. long arrowhead.
Pottery and flint tools were made on the spot.
